Easter closure 2016

The Library will close on Wednesday 23rd March at 8.00pm and will re-open on Wednesday 30th March at 9.30am.

Easter is early this year, so when the library re-opens on 30th March there are 3 weeks before evening opening re-starts (to coincide with term-time). The first day of evening opening will be on Tuesday 26th April.

Library opening hours over the Christmas period

Evening opening (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 8pm) will end on 17th December and begin again on 12th January.

 

The last Saturday opening will be 19th December, and the first in the new year will be 9th January.

 

The library will close on Wednesday 23rd December (late afternoon) and open again on Monday 4th January.



Bank Holiday Closure

The library will be closed this Saturday for the Bank Holiday weekend. We will re-open at 9.30 am on Tuesday 27th May.

Early Closure March 11th

 

Please note there will be no evening opening on Tuesday March 11th as the library will be closing at 6pm for a private event.
Apologies for any inconvenience this causes.

Update: Foundation Day Closure

We have just discovered that Senate House will not be open to members of the public at all on Wednesday 27th of November so unfortunately the library will not be open. Readers are still welcome to email us or telephone on either 020 7862 8709 or 020 7862 8711 up until 1pm. Sorry for any problems caused.

Foundation Day Closure

Just to remind our readers that on Wednesday 27th November the library will be closing at 12.45 for the annual Foundation Day celebration in Senate House.

Easter Closing

We are closing for Easter at 6pm on 28^th March and re-opening at 9.30 on April 3^rd

Christmas Closing Hours

The library will be shutting for Christmas at 6pm on Friday 21^st December and opening at 9.30am on January 2^nd. On the plus side it means you can get over a week on the new books! Something to ponder while we’re away ... 

Early Closing for Foundation Day

Remember we're closing early tomorrow at 1.45 pm owing to the Foundation Day event taking place at Senate House. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Opening hours during the Olympics and beyond

We will be open as usual during the Olympics.

That is:

Monday-Friday: 9:30am-6pm
Saturday: 10am-4:30pm


At 6pm on Friday, August 17th we will close for our annual summer break. The library will re-open at 9:30am on Monday, September 3rd. Evening openings will re-commence with the start of term. All loans taken out between now and August 17th will be due back on September 3rd.

We will also soon be welcoming a new graduate library trainee, so if you see a new face behind the library desk in the next few weeks, do say hello!

Library hours over the Christmas period

The Library will close at 5:30pm on Friday 23rd December 2011 and reopen on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.

The last Saturday opening will be on the 17th of December 2011. Saturday openings will recommence on January 7th 2012.

Evening opening (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 8pm) will end on December 15th 2011 and will re-start on Tuesday 10th January 2012.

Evening opening for Autumn term

Evening opening starts this week.
So, from tomorrow, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays the Library will be open until 8pm. This will continue until Thursday the 11th of December.

Evening opening

Evening opening (Tuesday-Thursday until 8pm) for Spring term starts next week from Tuesday 8th January until Wednesday 19th March.

Evening opening hours

The Library will have extended opening hours until 8pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2nd October until the 13th December 2007.
