Joint Library of the Hellenic & Roman Societies / Institute of Classical Studies Library

The Library is maintained jointly with the Societies for the Promotion of Hellenic and Roman Studies and in association with the Institute of Classical Studies (University of London). It contains over 130,000 volumes, 22,000 bound volumes of periodicals, thereby bringing the overall total to almost 152,000 volumes. The Library has an international reputation as one of the world’s foremost Classics libraries.

The Move back to South Block in Senate House

After some 3 years in temporary accomodation in the North Block, the Library will move back to the 3rd floor of Senate House during the summer 2009. Exact dates of closure will be posted when known. During the closure period it is regretted that all user services will be suspended.
